Though it's a sensitive subject, someday our family members won't always be there to tell us their stories: their experiences, life lessons, and to pass along their wisdom, and most importantly their knowledge of your family tree. For some of us who are young, at the moment we don't understand the importance of not only knowing who our ancestors were but what they were like, how they lived, and what they did; however, someday down the road we will wonder just that. So while they are still with us, it's important if not vital that we take the steps to preserve those stories and that wisdom for not only ourselves to watch as we grow older but for future generations who will someday ask what their great-grandparents were like.

comprehensive edit
Choosing a comprehensive edit means you will not only get the interview but this type of edit allows you to include pictures and video clips from your scrapbooks and family movies edited into the final video.
For instance, if the person being interviewed was speaking about a childhood home they grew up in, you can provide MHP with family photos or video taken of this childhood home and those pictures or video clips will be shown as the person being interviewed is talking about the house.
Using this same example, if your family doesn't have any photos or video from the home, and the home isn't too far away, MHP is glad to take a trip to capture a few photos and video clips of the home today and use these newer HD photos instead.
A comprehensive edit allows you to not only show your children someday a video of their parents / grandparents but show them the places and the objects / tools being described by their family member in a unique and entertaining video with an editing style similar to a documentary.
whole family edit
Choosing the "Whole Family Edit" means we will interview any family members who are willing to participate in the project. These multiple interviews can take place on multiple days at multiple locations. After gathering these multiple interviews, we edit all the footage into one concise video. Most times when someone chooses the "Whole Family Edit", more than one family member talks about a certain event in the family's history and so both of these interviews will be edited together to describe the event in more detail.
Not only will a Whole Family Edit look more professional in the end, it will also show future generations ALL of their family members and not just one or two.
